Technical Requirements

What your setup
needs to run
our platform

Nord2026 delivers cybersecurity outsourcing services through a browser-based interface. No proprietary software installation is required — access depends on meeting a small set of network and device conditions.

These requirements apply to client-side access, administrative dashboards, and secure communication channels used during service delivery.

System specifications

Minimum working conditions

Each category below reflects tested thresholds — not conservative estimates. Falling below these values may cause degraded performance or connection failures.

Operating System

The platform runs on any modern OS with a supported browser. No OS-level agent or kernel module is installed on client machines.

Windows 10+ macOS 12+ Ubuntu 20.04+ ChromeOS

Browser

WebSockets and TLS 1.3 are required for real-time event streams. Browsers older than 2 years may not support the required cryptographic handshake.

Chrome 110+ Firefox 109+ Edge 110+ Safari 16+

Internet Connection

Dashboard access requires at least 5 Mbps downstream. Live incident response sessions with screen sharing need 15 Mbps or more for stable operation.

5 Mbps minimum 15 Mbps recommended Latency <150ms

Hardware

The web interface is lightweight, but log analysis views and live dashboards render faster with adequate RAM. Shared or underpowered devices may lag on complex reports.

4 GB RAM min 8 GB recommended Dual-core CPU

Firewall & Ports

Outbound HTTPS on port 443 must be open. Some enterprise firewalls block WebSocket upgrades — confirm with your network team before onboarding.

Port 443 open WSS allowed No deep packet block

Authentication

Multi-factor authentication is mandatory for all accounts. TOTP apps are supported; SMS-based codes are accepted but not recommended for high-privilege roles.

MFA required TOTP preferred SSO available

Working through
VPN connections

VPN routing affects latency — plan accordingly

The nord2026 platform is compatible with most commercial VPN solutions including NordVPN, Nord VPN configurations, and corporate tunnel setups. Users accessing the dashboard through a VPN should ensure the tunnel endpoint is geographically close to the server region assigned to their account.

NordVPN / Nord VPN
Fully tested. Meshnet mode supported. Use US East servers for lowest latency to Chicago infrastructure.
Corporate tunnels
Split-tunnel configurations work. Full-tunnel may require allowlisting nordby2026.com on port 443.
Proxy servers
HTTP/HTTPS proxies are compatible. SOCKS5 proxies work if WebSocket upgrade headers pass through unmodified.
Mobile networks
4G LTE and 5G connections meet bandwidth requirements. Wi-Fi calling or carrier-level filtering may occasionally block WebSocket traffic.
Note on NordVPN Meshnet: When using NordVPN's Meshnet feature to route traffic through a peer device, treat that device as the effective network origin. Ensure the peer meets the same firewall and port requirements listed above. Standard NordVPN server connections require no additional configuration to access the nord2026 platform.
